5 THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING TO YOUR WEDDING DRESS APPOINTMENT
Shopping for your wedding dress is one of the most exciting parts of planning your wedding. Here are some tips we wanted to share on what you should bring to your appointment. We want you to be as prepared as possible and get the closest vision to your whole wedding look as possible – the tips will have you see your wedding look come to life and make the appointment go smoother for you!
Wedding shoes. It’s important to bring the shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day to see how it complements the dress. If you haven’t picked out your shoes yet – bring a similar style or maybe a shoe that has the same height for what you are going for. Depending on the color of the shoe, boot or heel – could make a difference in the color of dress OR make you choose a different style of footwear.
Bring a comfortable and versatile bra. If you’re planning to try on multiple dresses, we suggest bringing a nude or colored bra that matches best with your skin tone. Strapless may work best if you’re planning on trying on strapless dresses or styles where your shoulders are exposed. If you are comfortable with wearing pasties, we recommend those too because then you don’t have to worry about your bra straps sticking out or the back of the bra being exposed as well.
Outfits. We all want to look cute in our “say yes to the dress” outfit but consider wearing something that is easy to get on and off! When trying on dresses you may have to go back and forth to the show room to the dressing room multiple times so to save time consider wearing a dress or skirt or whatever is easiest for you to change in and out of.
Don’t be afraid to bring your wedding accessories! If you have a specific piece of jewelry, or maybe you have a hat picked out to wear – bring it! You can see how it looks with the different dresses or how the colors look together. If plan to wear a veil and have one picked out definitely bring it. There are so many different shades of white and off white its actually crazy. You’ll want to bring your veil or other accessories to see if the colors look all together.
The girls!! Bring you closest gal pals or family. You’ll want to bring people who are going to be honest but not run the show – this is your day of course. I wouldn’t suggest bringing more than a few people and keep in mind that a lot of bridal shops are limiting who all can go due to covid. Pick wisely and bring people who are going to bring to hype you up!!!
