“Jon and I met through Instagram at the end of 2019. He likes to tell everyone that I “slid” into his dms first…. but it was actually him who made the first move! After thoroughly stalking his Instagram and concluding he was super attractive and seemed like a fun person we met for the first time for lunch. We hit it off from the beginning and began going on lots of dates and spending lots of time together. We went ice skating, hiking, road-tripping, and after just two months of dating we went to Hawaii together. We decided early on in our relationship that (since we both loved to travel) we would try to travel somewhere once a month. It could be something small like a day up a canyon or big like a road trip out of state! We’ve had lots of adventures together, from snorkeling in Oahu, surviving a world pandemic, to hiking to waterfalls in the mountains, to doing absolutely nothing together when everything shut down. After dating and for almost year, Jon proposed at the same restaurant where we first met for lunch. Needless to say we have lots of fun together and have become best friends through the process.
