I am Makenzi, from Last Hughes Creative Company. My fiance and I live and work on a ranch in Eastern Washington. We met in college on the livestock judging team at Blue Mountain Community College, the same way my parents met 30 years ago and his grandparents met nearly 70 years ago at Washington State University. We have been best friends since college. Cole, my fiance is not the most romantic fella and always has complained about cheesy holidays. He surprised the heck out of me when he proposed on Valentine’s Day! We were in the tractor taking a big bale to the bulls, he stopped and I got out to open the gate; it was frozen to the ground! When I turned around he was on his knee with a ring! 
For our engagement photos I knew I wanted us to look and feel like us! That is why we decided to start with the Lifestyle photos, by the time we were taking fancy pictures we were relaxed and comfortable! Ciara Ackerman did an absolutely amazing job!
