Casey and I have followed each other on social media for several years. We connected on social media when he played baseball at North Arkansas College in 2013. Even though we always knew of each other, we did not connect and start talking until September of 2019. We both had recently came out of long term relationships, so we were not looking for love at the time. After talking for a few weeks, we had our first date in Branson. I quickly realized that those things I was praying to God for, Casey was checking every box. We went on a date every weekend after that. We began dating at the end of October.
One year later, in October of 2020, Casey proposed back in Branson where we had our first date. Our closest friends were hiding to celebrate with us. We both work in public schools, so we are waiting until the end of the school year to get married and start this new journey together.
The hardest obstacle that our relationship has faced has been distance. We both grew up in small towns in different parts of the state. We have had to spend our week days apart and only see each other on holidays and the weekends. However, even with that large obstacle, we have still managed to connect our families and start building our lives together. We have learned to enjoy time together, even doing the simple daily things of life. Our hobbies include dinner dates, checking our cows, and working out together. We have our own farm that is officially branded as KC Farms. We look forward to growing our cattle farm as the newest Mr. & Mrs. York!
