Jess and I attended high school together, but that’s not when it all started. We had Ag class together but we didn’t hang in the same crowds and he was a year older than me. The one thing we had in common was hunting. Every year my family would run into him and his twin brother on the same mountain we all hunted. Over the years, we would say hello, tell a few hunting stories, and go on our merry way.

We both ended up at the University of Wyoming where our mutual love of the outdoors brought us together. Jess quickly became one of my best friends and someone I relied on. Although we were both interested in each other I still kept him at an arms length away until one day I realized what he meant to me. A couple months later we went hunting (in the same mountains I talked about above) and he asked me to be his girlfriend. A year and a half later he asked me to be his wife.
