Jamison and I had known each other for a while before we started dating. He had moved to Western Nebraska from Iowa and in a small town everyone meets the “new” kid. We never really hung out together much until right before we started dating. It all pretty much happened overnight… we got the chance to really talk about life one night and realized that we shared a lot of the same goals and aspirations in life and both had a drive for success. The next day I asked for his help to finish moving into my new house and in return I went with him to help him feed cows that afternoon and he mentioned Texas Road House. It was fairly early still so we decided to road trip it to Cheyenne for supper. When our food arrived at the table he stopped to pray before eating, me being a preacher’s daughter thought that was fairly impressive considering most guys don’t do that especially in public. When we got back and he dropped me off he looked at me and asked “how was that for a first date?” Yes, he had successfully tricked me into a date which needless to say went perfect. We started dating and after just a couple short weeks I knew that he was the one that I wanted to spend my forever with. Four short months later we were engaged to be married and I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life! He is the man that I have always been searching for and I cannot wait to be his Bride this September. Together we chose Ephesians 4:2-3 as our Love Verse… “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
