Our love story, I don’t even know where to begin because I honestly couldn’t tell you where it started. I moved home from college and started hanging out with lukes roommates girlfriend. I went over for a movie night. he walked through the door covered in mud. he had just got off work. I realized that he had been messaging me for a couple of months and I put two and two together. we sat down to talk and he brought up my brother. now I didn’t know that they were best friends or that they’ve known each other for years. I really must not pay that good of attention. I started to hang around more often looking for excuses to see him. A couple months passed and we had officially entered the “dating” phase. Then the pandemic hit.  Which was a blessing in disguise for us. He moved in with me shortly after. We became best friends and inseparable. I haven’t been away from this man for longer than 36 hours in over a year, inseparable. We became each other’s best friend. Not only were we dating and living together but we  were doing all the things each of us enjoyed, together. We went hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, anything outdoors and we were there. As much as anyone could during the lock down. We never got tired or bored of each other and we still aren’t. We both ended up losing our jobs around the same time, in the middle of buying a house. So we figured what the heck let’s move. We ended up in Colorado Springs and pretty much started over. We had nothing besides 2 air mattress and a ton of clothes. Little by little we turned a small one bedroom apartment into our home. A couple months after living in the springs he proposed. Nothing fancy just casually in our apartment. And I wouldn’t have had it any other way. We turned this empty cold apartment into our first home and it’s continues to fill with love and blessings. We decided to elope because we wanted to spend our special day doing things that we enjoyed. We went fishing in the morning and caught trout, had mimosas at our campsite before the ceremony, and ended the night eating burgers and s’mores around our fire. And I wouldn’t change a thing.
