THE LOVE STORY
“We got engaged on June 19, 2021 and decided to get married October 30, 2021. We couldn’t bear to wait any longer. We decided to try and incorporate as much personal detail as we could in our special day. We designed the engagement ring with Fifth C Fine Jewelry using gold and diamonds from rings that belonged to both of our mothers. My wedding band was made by Ernst Jewelers with diamonds from my dad’s “worn out” wedding bands. While wedding planning, we cut and dyed the cheesecloth table runners and napkins together. Carson tooled the leather on the Converse for me and also made the tepee arches we got married under. We borrowed several oil lamps and apothecary bottles from family and friends for the table centerpieces including an oil lamp and bottles that belonged to my Mimi and Papa who have passed away. Other centerpieces included vases from Carson’s parent’s rehearsal dinner. Carson’s Grammie gave us water goblets that were given to her and Carson’s grandpa when they got engaged and we used those, as well. Over the years, Carson had written me several letters and sticky notes that i saved to put on display at the wedding along with the ear tag Carson used to propose. We were sure to include our alma mater, Texas A&M, by using personalized 12th man towels during our exit. Our day was so perfect and full of love”- Bride, Shelby.
