Shannon rides saddle bronc and bareback horses in the PRCA and I am in school for elementary education. We had been together for two years before he proposed. He finally did at his hometown rodeo in Ash Flat Arkansas right before the bull riding. He was so nervous we were both shaking, but we were both so happy! We spent the next year planning our dream wedding and it was absolutely beautiful, better than we could have ever imagined. October 9th was also my parents wedding anniversary so we honored them with another first dance. Instead of a bouquet toss we honored all the married couples but having them all dance and slowly call them off until the longest married couple was left. They had been married for 63 years. It was really inspiring seeing them still so in love after being married for so long.
