It started as most modern love stories do with boy meets girl…on Facebook. Jean’s Dad,
Trey, had listed some fall calving cows on Marketplace and an unexpected buyer
emerged. Garrett commented on the cattle inquiring about a price to which Trey
responded sending him in Jean’s direction to get more specifics about the cows. Well
after moseying on over to Jean’s profile Garrett asked her to discuss the price over
dinner and drinks. After a successful dinner, the two went for ice cream at which point
Garrett presented Jean with a stunning potted Bougainvillea which still blooms every
summer at their home. The couple became engaged on December 23rd 2021 much to
Jean’s astonishment. (She was certain she was getting oven mitts that Christmas) Garrett
had hidden the engagement ring in her Christmas stocking making for an intimate at
home proposal which fit the couple perfectly= You, Me and the Dogs.

From the glitz of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas to the grit of a Southwestern Oklahoma hay field Garrett and Jean have been in sync ever since.

The two plan on residing in Temple, OK where their days will be spent working side by
side on the family farm. In the end Trey still likes to rib Garrett and let him know it would have been cheaper to buy the dang cows.
