Our Love Story began almost 10 years ago, when an Alberta country girl met a Manitoba farm boy. We both attended Lakeland College right out of high school and ended up being in the same diploma program – Animal Science Technology. The first day of campus we were paired up in a campus tour group for the newcomers. We chatted a little, but that night both found ourselves at the local bar The Zoo. Little did we know that bar would hold a spot in our memories for all of the dances we shared with one another. God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton was our song in college, no matter where we were in the bar or what we were doing we would always find one another to dance. The rest was history.
He proposed to me 9 years later, he found a hidden trail while hiking in the Rocky Mountains that opened up to a beautiful lookout in the where he got down on one knee. Funny enough the trail that we took was called “Braggin’ Rights”.
Our engagement session took place at our photographer’s family ranch, where we were able to get a variety of different scenery. Horses are a big part of our lives and they have been since we first met. We spent hours riding the white horse (Prince), and the bay horse (Doc) when we first met. A big part of the time we spent getting to know one another was on those horses’ backs. We bonded over our love for animals, and the farm lifestyle, sports along with so many other things. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect soulmate if I tried, and I can’t wait to tie the knot July 16th 2022.
