THE LOVE STORY

Colby and I met in college at Tarleton State University. We had mutual friends that would hang out from time to time, so we would occasionally see each other out! We both had relationships off and on throughout college, so I never thought of him as more than just a guy I knew through my friend group, who was always nice to me when we would hang out. Although from Colby’s point of view, the moment he met me he wanted to take me out on a date. But being the gentleman he is, he never pursued me in that way because I had a boyfriend. In 2020 things changed for the both of us. We  were both at pretty low points in our lives, with Covid shutting things down, and multiple other factors. I was praying for God to do some healing and I know he heard my prayers. Colby randomly slid up on a Snapchat sorry of mine and we started messaging each other on social media and I knew it was no coincidence! From there it took him forever to finally ask me for my phone number, and then for him to come visit me. (He thought we lived three hours apart and really it’s less than an hour and a half!) But looking back I’m grateful he took his time, because it created a deeper friendship before our relationship started. He came to visit me one weekend in July of 2020, and we’ve pretty much been attached since then. Colby encourages me in every aspect of life and I do the same for him, we’re each other’s best friend, and I am so thankful God had our paths cross again. I’m so glad I had Morghan take pictures of us while we are dating, we both know that we are each other’s forever, and I can’t wait to look back at these photos and remember how much fun and love we had as a young couple!
