“We met at the Iowa state fair in 2013 when my family won the steer show and his family won the heifer show. I noticed Cody right away. I thought he was so handsome and hard working. He thought I was too old for him (I’m one year older) So he never reached out to me. I ended up messaging him on Facebook. I just knew I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity of dating him. 
We had our first date a few days after that. We went fishing at one of my family’s ponds and the cows ran straight towards the gate right when he opened it. I knew he was a keeper when he didn’t let the cows out. We got engaged in another one of our pastures with our dog Tuck running around with the cows behind us. We were supposed to get married last June but had to postpone it because of covid. So it was even more special when we finally got to get married and celebrate with our friends this June.
