THE LOVE STORY
Although our Love story is fairly new it is by far my favorite. Rope messaged me on Instagram in November of 2020 with what we will call a cheesy pickup line. It was actually quite comical and he told me if I would give him my number he would keep making me laugh, so I did! In December we met at the NFR in Fort Worth. We went on our first “date” with all our friends. We decided to spend New Years together and from there we have been together almost everyday since. He would come see me in Canyon, TX or I would go to Lubbock, TX. After we both graduated in May his family invited me to live in their guest house and help on their ranch. 

Working with him everyday has been one of my favorite things as he is definitely my best friend! Not to mention we both have a big heart for animals so being able to work with our horses or take our dogs with us is pretty great. 

Our engagement was an absolute fairytale that I never could have dreamed would happen to me! 

We had planned on having a date night that day so I went into town with his sister to get my nails done. When I got back to the ranch there was a note on my bedroom door telling me what time to be ready and to wear something I could ride a horse in. His sister is an absolutely amazing photographer (rigginstewartphotography) and she took pictures while I was getting ready. At this point I had an idea of what was happening but not how amazing it was going to be! At 4:30 that afternoon his mom came and got me to go outside to leave. There was a helicopter waiting for me and one of my best friends that I hadn’t seen in months was waiting outside to surprise me. She also was the videographer for the engagement. The helicopter took her and I down to their land by the river where his sister was waiting for me. My horse, Vegas, was brought up to me and I rode him down to the river where a trail of a dozen roses was waiting for me. Each rose had a note with a date on it. The last rose was that day, November, 19 2021 and it said “the day I want to show you how much I truly love you”, when I turned around he was walking down to me. Of course I said yes! 

I have prayed for a man of God and I am so thankful Rope was the answer to my prayers! I can’t wait to continue to add to our love story over the years.
