THE LOVE STORY
“We started dating back in high school on March 3, 2019 – we are so close to 3 years!! The first time we ever hung out together we drove to get calf feed, our first unofficial date was to a rodeo in Glen Rose, TX and our first official date was to… you’ll never guess – another rodeo!! Needless to say, ‘western lifestyle’ explains us to a T, being that we spend most of our free time taking care of animals, spending long nights in a rodeo arena, or driving to these rodeos/ropings! If you haven’t gathered by now, Cody (my cowboyyy) is a tie down roper and 99% of our “dates” have been in an arena somewhere but, I am not complaining. Cody’s family is well known by many in the rodeo world thanks to his uncle Ricky Canton, who made many trips to the NFR in the tie down roping. However, our family’s history runs deeper than that, thanks to our grandparents simply being in and out of the roping pens together. Little did our families know all those years ago, that they would all be attending the same wedding one day to join our families together! On August 21, 2021 we got engaged at White Sands National Park in New Mexico however, we are native Texans from the South East Texas area – Montgomery, TX! On October 12, 2022 we will be going together with our parents to the Grimes County Courthouse in Anderson, TX to say, ‘I DO’!! To follow, on November 19, 2022 we will be hosting a “Happily Ever After Party” in Montgomery with all of our dearest friends and family members to celebrate our new journey together.”
