They met at the Archer County Rodeo in Texas on the groom’s birthday. They both went to small Texas high schools about 30 minutes from each other and had mutual friends, but had never met. He rode up to her at the rodeo, got off his horse, took off his hat, and introduced himself. They have been inseparable ever since. 6 years later he proposed at a friend’s ranch. She was taking photos of a friend’s horse and he suggested they take one together. That’s when he said, “You know I love you, Dess?” and popped the question. The two are getting married September 10, 2022 in their small hometown.
