Catie and Cade’s intimate wedding in the Texas desert was crafted with intention. Their vision for the day was for it to be “…full of love and happiness” with “…memories that will last forever.”
They decided to get married in Big Bend after seeing photos of the location online. Once they saw those photos, they knew it was the place they had to get married!
One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was in the afternoon. I snuck away with Catie and Cade (each separately) to take some solo portraits out in the desert in a patch of yellow flowers. Taking that time to go enjoy the striking landscape they chose for their wedding really helped slow the day down in the best kind of way, and they ended up being some of my favorite photos from the wedding day.
They got ready at an airbnb near Terlingua, Texas, surrounded by their families. The ceremony was an intimate gathering and held all of those values they wanted for their day: time with their loved ones, the desert all around them, and the simple beauty of exchanging rings with Catie’s dad officiating the ceremony.
After their sweet ceremony, Catie, Cade, their videographers, and I went into the park to take some sunset portraits. Catie and Cade opted to save their personal vows for a private reading during the sunset portraits, and it was an emotional moment.
We finished their stunning desert wedding with family style dinner under the stars.
