In the fall of 2021, McKaylie had shot a deer on the general deer hunt in Utah that went viral (google McKaylie Richins deer to see for yourself lol). Upon seeing this, Nick Vidrine (a Utah Conservation Officer) proceeded to slide into McKaylie’s DM’s. What McKaylie didn’t know is that he had had a crush on her since she was Miss Rodeo Utah in 2019. They went on their first date in December of 2021 and the rest is history. Although when Nick first told McKaylie that he liked her, her response was “thanks, goodnight”. They were inseparable after that. They both knew they were meant for each other, and Nick began started designing her engagement ring. It was everything she wanted. A “Toi et Moi” design with two stones meaning “you and me” with a radiant cut diamond on one side and pear-shaped alexandrite on the other. McKaylie wanted part of Nick on her ring and chose his birthstone, alexandrite, to accompany the diamond. Nick planned the most perfect proposal on McKaylie’s family’s ranch in the Uintah Mountains of Utah on December 26, 2022. They quickly began planning a wedding and set a date for June 17, 2023. Their wedding theme was classy, elegant western and McKaylie took to planning every detail. From the private, intimate vows to the tiny turquoise cap guns, it was everything she had dreamed of since she was a little girl. It was the most perfect dream wedding they both could have hoped for surrounded by friends and family in the quaint town of Peoa, Utah. Nick and McKaylie make the perfect couple!
