Our first date was technically a fishing trip with my father HAHA. My dad must not have scared him too much because we have been together since! Connor proposed to me on 4-3-21 on a camping trip to visit the cabins my Great Grandma grew up in and one of the most special places ever to me.
“Things definitely lined up just right for us to meet each other. Living a few hours apart we met midway for our first date. As nervous as we both were we both knew and were all in from that day on.
Barry said “I remember it like it was yesterday. I knew at that moment, (God willing) that I was going to marry her. I have never met a more beautiful, kind, and patient person.”
Probably just a few dates in and I was already asking my mom if she was ready to meet her future son-in-law. I definitely found the perfect person for me!”
There’s no one else that can make me happy the way he does, laugh the way he does, smile the way he does, and so much more that I could go on about all day. I still think about how truly lucky I am for this life we have built together so far and how there is still so much more room for growth. He’s one of my greatest teachers and my best friend.” They now live in Fort Scott and have turned a run down ranch house into a home and plan to continue working toward their goals and a happy life together.
We get married October 16th, 2021 at an old historic home that my great grandparents used to own!
We met in high school through a mutual friend, trailed off to the same college together and found our passions of sorority and rodeo in the same small town. We love this western lifestyle and wouldn’t have it any other way!
We started dating and after just a couple short weeks I knew that he was the one that I wanted to spend my forever with. Four short months later we were engaged to be married and I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life! He is the man that I have always been searching for and I cannot wait to be his Bride this September. Together we chose Ephesians 4:2-3 as our Love Verse… “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
