Once everyone got to our house I was told I needed to be blindfolded for a birthday surprise (my birthday was just the week before). After a few minutes, they took off my blindfold and I opened my eyes to the colt that I had wanted standing right in front of me! I was so in shock I didn’t know what to do! I walked up to my boyfriend, hugged him, and thanked him immensely. He finally said “well, read the halter.” That’s when he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I’m so thankful for him and all my friends that helped make it such a special day that I will remember for the rest of my life!!
We then both were crying in the moment and K’Leigh was snapping pictures that crazy. She got the raw, beautiful moment captured so perfectly that you can see in our pictures. Kyle then went on to tell me he had a whole speech planned out but forgot it all when he saw my face and started to get choked up himself. I then went back into the horse trailer and changed clothes again into something cuter and we had an impromptu photoshoot graciously done by our sweet friend who helped so much in making this day so special.
And as they cowboyed together and became the best team, they fell in love.
During our shoot, they wanted a shot of them roping together, and I was more than happy to oblige. I haven’t met any other brides who’ve been willing to rope in their wedding dress. I believe that the couple that can cowboy together, stays together.
Our first date was technically a fishing trip with my father HAHA. My dad must not have scared him too much because we have been together since! Connor proposed to me on 4-3-21 on a camping trip to visit the cabins my Great Grandma grew up in and one of the most special places ever to me.
